A Home for Healing: Your Help Needed
Donation protected
I'm not good at asking for help, but I'm scared of losing the best home I've ever had.
Growing up, my mother was incredibly manipulative and abusive towards me. This resulted in me having severe C-PTSD, enough that I require a service dog.
In 2018, I made the decision to leave my childhood home in Dallas and my mother behind, moving on my own to Nashville. After about two years after living here, I moved into the house I am currently living in. It quickly grew from a house to a home, and I have now lived here longer than I have anywhere else. I am close to everything I need, in particular my medical treatments for my C-PTSD and depression. But even better, I've found a wonderful community with my neighbors. The house provides me the space I need to create my art, for my Shepherds to run and play, and it allows me to house guests.
After living here for over six years, my landlord has agreed to sell me the house. The problem is, he is expecting more than I can reasonably afford at this point.
Which is why I am asking for help. The larger of a down payment I have to purchase my first house, the better chances I have of being able to keep my wonderful home.
