For 30 years Bob has lived at Sandleton.

With his late wife Jan, they ran Wombat Rise Sancutary for many years. Rescuing, raising, rehabilitating native wildlife. They loved to share their knowledge and passion with friends and visitors alike.

Bob cared for Jan at home until well into her battle with dementia, ultimately losing her a few years ago.

Earlier this year we purchased Wombat Rise Sancutary with the promise that Bob could live out his days in his beloved home as we rebuilt the Sancutary around him. It was giving him a new lease on life.

On July 18th a devastating house fire gutted the beautiful home. At 84, Bob has lost absolutely everything except the clothes he was wearing. The building is insured but it is going to take so long to rebuild, we want to - we need to - get Bob back home. On the land that he loves so dearly. To do this we hope to buy him a tiny home and bravely we are asking for help to do this for him.
