A home for AJ and Jamie
I have known Lydia, David, Andrew and James since 2016. This family was brought to my path through a community program that helped with family enrichment. Since the first day I met them, Lydia and David have always done what it takes for their boys.
Through years of challenges, including job losses, extraordinary learning situations with the kids (AJ with autism and James with ADHD), and a cross country move; Lydia (and David)have navigated with faith and perseverance.
Some of you may know that Lydia suffers from endometriosis as well as a host of other comorbidities that GREATLY affect her quality of life and her ability to work. She will experience days of pain and other symptoms that leave her homebound and often bed ridden. This leaves the burden of breadwinning on David, who does his best to care for his wife and kids, as well as hold down a job to support the family.
In the current times, one income is barely enough to make ends meet.
This brings me to the current situation that this family is facing. They are about to lose their home. They have been approved for a new place, however the deposit and moving expenses are a HUGE need. Lydia needs a stable home to recuperate and an address to continue receiving the medical care and prescriptions she needs. The children need a stable home in a safe area to continue to grow and thrive. David needs a stable home to rest and recover while he continues to provide for his family.
We are living in unprecedented times. Things seem unbelievably hard. We must, however, remember to take care of others when they are in need.
If you feel compelled and are able, anything to help this family you can contribute will assist them with this challenge.
Praying many blessings on you!!!
Jennifer
