A home for a hero, James Boxall
Donation protected
As some of you may already know, Jungle Jim, whilst volunteering in Sierra Leone last year, contracted 4 devastating tropical diseases. Malaria, typhoid, sepsis and pneumonia, plus 2 x parasites that are still in his system. Urgent medical intervention saved his life. He has since been rendered wheel chair bound on leaving the house at any time among many other on going issues. This naturally is a massive blow to him with little hope of a full recovery anytime soon.
There is a light there for him now though as permanent ground floor accommodation has been secured for him in Wellington, Taunton, where he has been living for the past year and a half between emergency housing and various hospitals. Providing continuity for his ongoing care and physiotherapy treatments, he can finally start to settle.
Jim is definitely one of my more generous and deserving friends and I and his family want to help set him up as fully as we can in his new home.
This is where you may be able to help if you can please. He is in need of all the essential items, but an urgent requirement is for suitable floor covering where James can use his indoor electric chair.
Any donations over our target will go towards funding a new mobility scooter for him.
He will be 40 on the 3rd of December and we would love to be able to give him the good news of what we are doing and to put a smile on his bearded face.
Much love
Hannah xx
