I'm Reesa. I'm trying to raise the money for a reliable vehicle & a couple months' worth of rent for an apartment.

I am a mother and sole guardian to a child with extreme needs that require her to be supervised 24 hours a day. I am also chronically ill & physically disabled. The state refuses to insure me for anything other than OB/GYN care. I have been denied disability coverage several times. Now, my own parents are kicking us out onto the street in the middle of Texas during the hottest part of the year. I have requested assistance from every local resource available, including child protective services, and I have been told that their hands are tied, been ignored, been lied to, and been outright told, "No." The one organization that's left that MAY help is a non-option because of the decades of allegations of abuse and SA. If I can get my child and I into a small apartment & if I can get a good enough, reliable vehicle, I can work for one of the ride-sharing companies or food delivery companies without causing myself too much health risk and I would still be able to care for my daughter. I have recently started attempting to turn my art into a viable career with an online shop, but it will be quite a while before that is generating any real income.
