Hello everyone,

My brother Guillermo recently suffered a brain aneurysm and spent about a month in a coma. Against all odds, he continues to fight, and I’m so grateful he’s still with us. This tragedy came at an especially difficult time… just a month after his retirement from the Army and only two weeks after he and his family purchased their new home.

Guillermo has since been transferred from Kansas City, Missouri, to Lincoln, Nebraska, where he is beginning long-term rehabilitation to relearn the daily skills that once came naturally.

The financial burden on his family is overwhelming, even with his GI benefits. The disability paperwork process can take months, and in the meantime, any support you can offer would mean so much. I am deeply proud of my brother’s courage and resilience, and I know every bit of help will make a real difference for him and his loved ones.
