A Hero In The Eyes of Many - Stephen Sklar

Dear friends and family,

I as well as Seth, Shane, and Sally Sklar would like to ask everyone to pray for my father Stephen Sklar.

On November 17th, at work, dad was knocked 30 feet off a ladder. He fractured a vertebrae in his neck, fractured his shoulder, fractured 10 ribs, fractured his lower back, broke his collar bone, has a tear in his spleen, and a collapsed lung.

Many have asked what they could do to help and honestly, the path to recovery is uncertain. If you don't know our history our mother, Sally Sklar suffered from a hemorrhagic stroke 3 years ago which put a lot of weight on his shoulders. He became the only source of income for the two of them. With his injuries, the recovery time is TBD and for the time being there is no flow of income assisting either of them.

Dad is currently in ICU at ECMC in Buffalo, New York. He is likely to receive surgery for some of his injuries but the rest remains unknown.

I would like to ask everyone to hug your loved ones close because you never know when things might take a turn. If you are able, he could use your financial help for at-home bills, travel expenses, and help providing income for our mother.

Donations are not required but would be much appreciated. Donations may be mailed if you do not wish to donate online. Get well cards or anything that may motivate him as well as the rest of the family to keep their heads up in this process are welcome as well. All cards received will be brought up to him by either Seth or Spencer Sklar.

Keep Stephen Sklar in your prayers as well as the rest of the family as we stay strong and await news. Please pray for great healing and restoration of his body and his steps moving forward.
