A hero arm for Alfie

Alfie is 8 years old, he was born with no right hand.
For the last 4 years he has wanted one of the hero arms made by open bionics, we have done a bit of fundraising when Alfie was younger and raised quite a bit of money .. but not enough as these arms aren't cheap!! We travelled down to Galway to a prosthetic company and met the makers of the hero arm ..Alfie tried it out and loved it . But when we got the final bill we knew it was out of our reach 23,000€
The thing that put the bill up was the 5 years warranty needed for the arm and with out the warranty there was no point in having the hand, alfie will need the socket resized every year and things will need fixed and returned every year
So after thinking we could get it for him then finding out we couldn't afford it on our own my friends and family wanted me to start this page to try and help Alfie get his arm he's wanted for so long
