Dear friends and friends,

My name is Theresa Place, the eldest niece of Curt Day of Clam Harbour, Nova Scotia and on behalf of all the nieces and nephews and the with the support of his family. I am reaching out to share a story that is very close to our hearts, and to ask for your support and generosity during these trying times.

Our beloved Uncle Curt has been diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer; more recently, we have learned that it has spread to the brain. For those who know him, you'll understand just how strong and resilient he is. Uncle Curt has always been a beacon of positivity for our family, always the first to lend a hand. Now, it is our turn to rally around him.

Uncle Curt has always been a very loving and caring person. The love and care that Uncle Curt has for all of us is undeniable. He has always been there for us, offering guidance and wisdom, and brightening our days with his contagious laughter. He is always the first one to lend a hand, whether you need help moving, building something, or just an extra set of hands. Now, it's time for us to come together and show him the same level of unwavering support.

Unfortunately, as many of you are aware, there are many expenses associated with fighting cancer, coupled with the burden of funeral costs, which can quickly become overwhelming for any family. It is for this reason that we ask for your assistance.

By contributing to this GoFundMe campaign, we can help alleviate some of the financial strain on Uncle Curt and his kids, Karissa, Christina and Calvin. Every dollar donated will go directly towards covering his medical bills, ensuring he receives the best possible care, and easing the financial burden that weighs so heavily upon them. Additionally, any remaining funds will be used to help cover the funeral costs when the time comes.
