A Helping Hand for Wayne Hearps
Donation protected
Last Saturday morning our fantastic handyman and tradie, Wayne Hearps, decided to have a "day off".
For those that know Wayne, this is a rarity itself. He is extremely hardworking and obliging.... for those that have been to alimento or Swansea Boutique Liquor.... he was the man that made these happen.
After enjoying a well earned breakfast out, Wayne and his beautiful dog Shadow returned to their Bicheno home before going for a walk to the waterfront.
Several moments later Wayne took a tragic fall, a fall that is set to redefine his life.
A short while later he was taken to Launceston General Hospital before being airlifted to Royal Hobart Hospital the following day. He was operated on Monday.
Eighteen broken bones, including 10 ribs (some in multiple places), broken hip (now pinned) and collarbone (now pinned), plus a punctured lung.
While lucky to be alive, the past week would have been one that none of us would want to endure.
Wayne is set to be sidelined for many months, or longer.
For those that know Wayne, he would do anything for you, is humble, gentle and hardworking. His lifestyle is simple, and he is much loved part of the Red Panda Family.
Then to add insult to injury, on Wednesday, the SAS were called to his home as his roof was blown off in this weeks high winds. A tough week is an understatement.
We have set this page up to assist Wayne, literally get back on his feet.
Funds are needed for medical bills, rent, and all the day to day bills we all are prone to.
Wayne never asks for favours, it is more a case of what he can do for you.
Its time to return the LOVE.
I can assure you all, all donations and assistance will be received with extreme gratitude and genuine humbleness, thats just the bloke Wayne is.
We hope you can help.
