I’m reaching out on behalf of Neal Massey who is going through a difficult time.

We want to do everything we can to support his family.

On Monday, July 7, 2025, his wife underwent surgery for colon cancer through Kaiser at Saint Joseph’s Hospital. She was discharged on Friday, July 11, and appeared to be recovering well at home.

However, on Thursday, July 17, her condition suddenly worsened. She was rushed to the hospital by ambulance and admitted to Piedmont Hospital in Covington, where she was diagnosed with septic shock due to complications from her initial surgery. Emergency surgery was performed at 1:00 on July 18.

She spent a full week in ICU, followed by ongoing care in Intermediate ICU, where she has thankfully been showing signs of recovery. She is being discharged into a rehabilitation facility in Stockbridge on August 7, with an estimated stay of 2 to 4 weeks as she regains her strength.

This has been a physically, emotionally, and financially overwhelming situation for Neal and his family. Between hospital stays, emergency procedures, transportation, rehab, and missed time from work, the costs are mounting quickly.

We’re asking for your help to lift some of the financial burden off their shoulders so they can focus on healing and moving forward. Any amount you can give, or even just sharing this fundraiser, would mean a lot!
