Dear FSU family,

A lot of us were devastated to find out that Dr. Kim was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer in December 2020. ​The cancer had spread to his spine, hip and thyroid. He is currently under going aggressive radiation and chemotherapy treatment.

Dr. Kim moved to Tallahassee in 2006 with his wife and two daughters to be an assistant professor in the Department of Nutrition and Integrative Physiology. Since then, he has dedicated his life to teaching and research. As a first generation immigrant from South Korea he is many miles from home thus FSU is truly his family. Due to the severity of the disease and the side effects of the cancer treatment work has become difficult. We are trying to work together to provide some financial support for Jeong-Su and his family during his treatment and recovery.
