"Sgt. Brandon Morgan, was recently injured during an altercation while in the line of duty. The injury required surgery. Since that initial surgery he developed an infection which required another surgery..." He was discharged from the hospital, only to return with worsening symptoms and further infection. Sgt. Morgan now requires a much higher level of care and more surgery. He will be transferred to another hospital, capable of providing the higher level of medical care he so desperately needs. The commute for his parents is 2.5+ hours one-way. Due to COVID, they may be forced to support and pray for their son from a hotel room.

"The story of what transpired, during the domestic dispute he responded to, stated that deadly force would have been justified as Sgt. Morgan was attacked repeatedly. However, he showed great restraint, deescalated the situation and amazingly there were no fatalities. Sgt. Morgan is the epitome of one who wears the badge in reverence to the community he serves. Words others have used to describe Sgt. Morgan are humble, honest, dedicated and a man of honor.

It’s our turn to show him that our Community has his six. When I reached out to Dawn, Brandon’s mom, telling her the idea of helping Brandon, she told him and he immediately said, “don’t worry about it, I don’t want to put anyone out”. Sgt. Morgan, I’m here to tell you, we’re here to tell you, it’s an honor to help someone of your caliber."

Most of the above write-up was posted on FB, by Ms. Tammy West McCoy. A community bank account was started, in Sgt Morgan's name. However, since donations may only be made in person at that bank (any branch in North Carolina, Georgia, Tennessee, South Carolina and Florida), I've obtained permission to start this gofundme.

I've never have to privilege of meeting Brandon. But, I know his sister. The Morgan Family (as a whole) is the epitome of Servant Leadership - serving their communities and country with the utmost integrity and humility. Please pray for Brandon and his family, and if you're able to support - the Morgan Family thanks you from the bottom of their hearts.
