This morning (5/29/19) Sarah wrote the following:
Thank you, a million times over. I am absolutely and utterly in awe of the kindness and generosity of people. I never thought I’d had an impact.
She HAS had an impact. Let's continue to show Sarah, Kris, and their boys how much they mean to us.
Sarah had an injury at the hospital where she works at the end of March. While being treated with workman's compensation coverage, she had an MRI to confirm the injury. Unfortunately, that MRI lead to a diagnosis of multiple sclerosis.
In Sarah's own words, "Navigating the healthcare system along with claiming medical short term disability shouldn’t be this hard. Not only do I have this wonderful newfound lifelong diagnosis without a treatment plan in place until I receive a second opinion in Boston, but worker’s compensation dropped me, as they should have, because I am now considered out due to MS, not a work related injury."
Sarah and her family have been through their savings while she is out of work. She plans to return to nursing, but cannot until she has a treatment plan in place. She has two young sons.
