Dear friends and family,
I need YOUR help! This is going to sound like an odd request, but please bear with me as I provide details for you.
I have a dear friend who is in some dire financial need because of numerous unfortunate life circumstances (none of their own doing, I might add). My friend has asked for anonymity for very valid reasons, but if you don't trust me, I can provide more details privately.
Sometimes we hit rough patches in life and have no other option but to reach out for help. While taking care of their ailing mother and father and preparing for the end of their lives, my friend was diagnosed with cancer. Their medical bills escalated, time was taken off work for surgery, recovery, and treatments and in the end they lost the job that was paying all these bills. My friend is now facing eviction and has already had their car towed. A plan is in place, and the need is just a one-time financial need. Now let me tell you about this friend: I've met few people in this world who are more genuinely GOOD than him/her. They are talented, extremely intelligent and educated, artistic, kind, compassionate, so fair and open-minded, loving, and of the strongest of characters...and they lovingly share these gifts with the world. They've just hit a string of REALLY REALLY bad luck. Without help, they are quite possibly facing being homeless.
I'm telling you all of this because I'm going to need your help. I'm setting up a one-time fundraiser to help my friend make it through the next month and a half. Most of you don't know this person, but you DO know me. You know that what I'm telling you is truth and 100% from my heart. I hope I can count on my friends and family. I guarantee this person will pay it forward tenfold because that's just the type of person they are. If you'd be willing to help me help this wonderful person by foregoing some Starbucks this month, a night at the bar or dinner out, or if you can just reach down into your heart with compassion it will be a life-giving blessing.
