A Helping Hand for Mom's Cremation Expenses

My mother just passed away suddenly and I'm doing my best to handle all of her end of life affairs, but a few of those things cost money, the biggest one being what to do with the body. The county I live in offers a low-cost direct cremation service, which is what I'm going with, but even that doesn't let you claim the ashes without reimbursing the county. It's cheaper than any other cremation or funeral home service, but the fee is still around $1000, which I do not have at this time. Anything will help. Also, some of this money may go to other things related to her passing like cancelling her utilities and other unexpected fees.
