This news is a profound challenge, but Margie is facing it with the grace and strength she has always shown. Our focus has shifted entirely to providing her with the highest level of care, comfort, and peace, surrounded by the family and memories she cherishes. We believe that Margie deserves to be celebrated and supported in this next chapter, and we are asking for your help to ensure her time is focused only on love and healing, not financial stress.
The Heart of Our Community: Her Voice, Her Spirit
Margie’s impact on this community is undeniable. For years, her powerful, beautiful voice was a source of joy for countless people. You might remember her as a bright light with The Samaritans in the 70s and 80s, or later as a dedicated performer with South Georgia Quartet and Crossroads, or at her church at Cochran Church of God. Margie gave her heart and soul to music, and through it, forged lifelong friendships.
She carried that spirit forward, especially after the passing of her beloved husband, Steve Bridgers Sr., close to 15 years ago. Margie has been a pillar of strength, laughter, and faith for her family and friends. Now, it is our turn to lift her up and give back the boundless love she has given us.
