The Park Fire is only one of the devastating wildfires that have devoured the most beautiful parts of Northern California.
My name is Jennifer Thatcher. I live in Red Bluff, Ca. I met Cheryl only a couple days after she was evacuated due to the Park Fire from the Paynes Creek area, Plum Creek Rd. She's the neighbor of an old friend that I didn't even know lived in these parts.
I tried to gather donations on a personal scale, but quickly realized the need is bigger than me.
Cheryl lost her husband only 4 months ago, now her home is non existent, consumed by the fire. Her neighbor, Sheila's house was spared, yet both are still displaced with no end in sight as to when they can go attend to the loss.
Relief agencies are strained and have minimal resource that won't get to them for weeks.
They struggle with a place to rest every night.
If you find it in your heart to donate, know that it will go directly from here to Cheryl for longer term than expected lodging, food, pet food, gas and bills that continue to accumulate.
Of course there will be the need for permanent housing and all that comes with that as well.
Thank you in advance for your generosity!
