Hi, my name is Analia, and I never imagined I'd be on this side of asking for help — but here I am, trusting in the same generosity and community I’ve always shown up for.
I’ve spent years serving communities in New York City, especially those experiencing homelessness, medical vulnerability, and housing insecurity. As a former social worker and advocate, I’ve worked hands-on at shelter sites, supported direct services, led community outreach, and collaborated with public health teams to ensure that people received the care, respect, and stability they deserve. Whether it was through organizing resources, connecting families to services, or just being a listening ear, I’ve always said yes when someone needed help.
Now, my daughter and I need that same kind of support.
I'm currently out of work, and the financial stress has become overwhelming. As a single mom to a beautiful daughter with special needs, my days are centered around providing her the care, therapies, and routines she needs to thrive. But between rent, utilities, medical expenses, and the rising cost of everyday necessities, it's become nearly impossible to stay afloat.
Despite doing everything I can — applying for work, cutting back, and exhausting all assistance I am still facing mounting expenses with very little breathing room. I’ve always believed in showing up for others with love and dignity, and now I’m asking for that same compassion.
I’m raising funds to help cover:
Basic living expenses (rent, groceries, transportation)
Educational and developmental support for my daughter
Ongoing therapy and healthcare costs
Emergency and unexpected costs while I work to secure stable employment
Anything you can give whether it’s a donation, a share, or even just a kind word makes a difference. I believe in community care, and I believe in the power of asking for help when it’s needed.
Thank you for reading, for supporting, and for holding space for families like mine.
With love and gratitude,
Analia y Anais
