A helping hand for a beautiful Tassie fam!

I’m one of Brieley’s best friends, I was hoping I’d never have to sort one of these go fund me type things as the reasons for these fundraisers is almost always because something horrible and unexpected has occurred.

Our gorgeous girl Brieley (Brize) was in a terrible road accident a week ago, as a result she has ended up in the ICU in a critical condition with bleeding and swelling on the brain and bleeding/infection in the lungs. Brieley has not been conscious since the accident and has been kept in a heavily sedated state to keep brain activity to an absolute minimum. She’s already had two surgeries to try relieve pressure and slow the bleeding down. Brieley is now sporting a new haircut (cue ball) as they’ve had to remove part of her skull to assist in bringing the pressure on her brain down.

Brieley is a registered nurse who is usually the one helping people in these situations, for anyone who has had the pleasure of meeting Brieley you would know that that help doesn’t just stop there. Brieley has a wonderful husband Martin Bruinewoud(Bruno), 2 beautiful 14yr old twin boys named Linkon and Mason and two amazing step kids Caitie and Sam. This tight family network are usually the ones helping others out in times of crisis.

I’m setting this go fund me up to give them a helping hand. Martin Bruniwoud (Bruno) has had to leave his job to be able to be with Brieley in Hobart which is 2.5hrs from their home, as we all know bills don’t stop. I would like to try raise some funds to be able to take some of that financial stress off Bruno and the boys. It will be used for food, bills and to try keep a roof over their heads.

Doctors have advised that recovery will be a very slow one, there are a lot of unknowns until Brieley is able to be woken from sedation. This has come as a massive blow to anyone who knows Brieley and the boys Linkon and Mason as Brieley lost her first love and the boys father Steve Black to a road accident just after the boys 1st Birthday.

Please don’t feel any pressure to donate, I understand that this has been a very tough and hard year for EVERYBODY, but anything you could give would certainly be appreciated!!!
