A Heartfelt Farewell for Tonia Johnson-Hubbard

Donation protected
Tonia passed suddenly and without warning from complications during a heart cath. Tonia did not have life insurance and the burden of a burial have fallen on her immediate family. Tonia was a loving person, a generous person, and would have donated to anyone else in need. If you cannot donate, we ask that you share this and continue to pray for her children, grandchildren, husband and all of us who loved her dearly.

Below is her full obituary and service details:

Tonia Hubbard, 59, of Cairo, GA transitioned to her heavenly home on December 22, 2025, in Thomasville, GA. Unfortunately, Tonia was born on September 12, 1966, and the youngest of three children born to the late Lovett and Glenda Moses. She was raised along the Gulf Coast, where she developed the warmth, resilience, and deep sense of family that defined her life.

Tonia was known for her infectious laugh, quick wit, and unforgettable sense of humor. She had a rare gift for making people feel welcomed, and she truly was a friend to everyone she met. Above all else, she was a devoted wife, and mother who poured her love into her family. This devotion to her family only grew with time, as her pride and joy were her grandchildren.

While Tonia was born and raised in the Apalachicola area, she built her life and home in Cairo, where she was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lovett and Glenda Moses; her grandparents, Jim and Martha Moses; her brother, Runt Moses; and her beloved son, Johnathan Harris.

Tonia leaves behind her loving husband, Vincent Hubbard of Cairo, Georgia; her daughter, Jayde Harris (Brad) of Eastpoint, Florida; her sons, Jayce Harris (Joy) of Cairo, Georgia; Ventabione & Vincent Jr. of Cairo, Georgia; her sister Tammie Cline of Apalachicola, Florida; and her cherished grandsons: Kyson, Jaycen, and Ivan, who were the light of her life. She is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews, including one Terress Martina (Tyler) of Apalachicola, Florida with whom she shared a special bond with.

Her life was a blessing, her laughter a gift, and her memory will forever live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

Services will be held on Monday, January 5, 2026 at Living Waters Assembly of God in Apalachicola, Florida. Visitation will begin at 11:30 A.M. Eastern Time with the funeral following at 12:00 P.M. Eastern Time with Pastor Scotty Lolley officiating. A private family interment will be held at Pleasant Rest Cemetery in Overstreet, Florida.

Arrangements are entrusted to the caring staff of Comforter Funeral Home in Port St. Joe, Florida.
