We are heartbroken to share the unexpected passing of our mom, Melinda Pratt, who died at home from a sudden heart attack on March 30th.

Melinda was one of the most caring, loving, and selfless people you could know. She always put others before herself and was devoted to her friends and family. She also had a special place in her heart for her AA community. Recovery was something she was incredibly passionate about, and she spent so much of her time supporting and uplifting others as they worked to overcome addiction. She truly made a difference in many lives.

Her passing has left a huge emotional and financial burden on our family. Unfortunately, she did not have life insurance or savings set aside for final expenses. This has left my brother and me responsible for covering the costs of her cremation and celebration of life, something we were not prepared for. My brother has just welcomed his first son who she never got to meet and is in the process of building his home, making this situation even more challenging for our family.

We are asking for any support you can give to help us provide Melinda with the farewell she deserves and to celebrate the beautiful life she lived. No amount is too small, and even sharing this fundraiser means so much to us.
