A Heartbroken Dog Mom Needs Your Support for Jazzy's Surgery

Hi, my name is Elissa, and I’m the proud mom of my sweet, loving dog, Jazzy. I never thought I’d find myself in a position like this, but right now, I’m asking for help because my baby needs me more than ever.

Jazzy has been struggling with severe pain since October 27th. He’s been unable to walk without crying out in agony, and for days, I couldn’t even pick him up without him whimpering. His pain became unbearable, and we rushed to the emergency vet multiple times. We tried medication after medication, but nothing seemed to help. Then, Jazzy started losing feeling in his hind leg. He couldn’t even put it on the ground, hopping around on three legs, looking up at me with those sad eyes, and I felt utterly helpless.

As a single dog mom, working full-time, the emotional and financial strain has been overwhelming. Watching my baby suffer is breaking my heart. Jazzy is my world, and I’ve done everything I can to care for him, but these past few days have been a test of my strength, my faith, and my resolve.

On Sunday, after everything else failed, we made the difficult decision to hospitalize Jazzy until we could see a specialist. The neurologist confirmed that Jazzy has a herniated disc, which is causing all of his pain. Thankfully, surgery is an option, and the good news is that this hernia can be removed. But Jazzy needs to stay in the hospital this week for pain management and to prepare for the surgery.

The total cost of his care is $10,150, plus taxes, bringing the bill to approximately $11,700. I’ve been able to pay part of it with my savings, but I’m still falling short. The weight of these medical expenses, along with the emotional toll of seeing my best friend in pain, is more than I can handle alone.
