Your whole LIFE can CHANGE in the BLINK of an EYE!!!

Hello Everyone, My name is Tawanna.
I’m a wife and a proud mother of five. Tysaiah (22) is my eldest son. He enjoyed playing basketball and video games. He worked full-time as a welder. He seemed healthy for the most part, but THINGS don't always look as they seem. Many of you know that Tysaiah is hospitalized at UF Health Shands (Heart & Vascular Hospital ICU) in Gainesville, Fl.
In early June, Tysaiah noticed swelling in his legs and feet. On June 17th, he checked into the ER at Memorial Hospital in Jacksonville, Fl and was admitted.
After many tests and X-rays, it was discovered that
Tysaiah's HEART was FRAGILE. His heart was functioning at 10 percent. He had a blood clot in the left ventricle of his heart. Fluid was building up in his chest and stomach, which caused his blood pressure to be shallow. His diagnosis was CONGESTIVE HEART FAILURE!!
Tysaiah remained hospitalized at Memorial Hospital until he was transferred to Gainesville, FL, on July 1st. Again, he needed care from a high-performance hospital with specialists, cardiologists and high-quality nurses. Upon arriving at UF Health Shands, he was placed in the ICU and received two stents on the right side of the neck and a balloon pump to support his heart. In addition, he was placed on six different medications given through his IV.
On July 3rd, the cardiologist team confirmed that Tysaiah would need a Heart Transplant. On July 9th, he was cleared from other medical conditions and officially listed as a candidate for The Heart Transplant. His surgery can happen any day now, but he still faces different obstacles daily.
It's not easy asking for help, but sometimes you have no choice when unforeseen life-changing events occur. On behalf of Tysaiah, our fundraiser will help offset the cost of medical expenses, travel expenses, temporary housing and lost wages. Even with insurance, medical bills can be a financial burden, and some out-of-pocket costs remain. In addition, temporary accommodation is required for post-transplant patients. During his recovery, he must stay in Gainesville while being treated as an outpatient for four to six weeks after being discharged.
Although Tysaiah will require around-the-clock care during his recovery, caregiving can create financial hardships for our family. The loss of income will challenge us while trying to focus and care for him, but together as a family, we will support Tysaiah in any challenge he faces.
Surgery of this significance requires support from family and friends. So many people have asked how they can help; this fundraiser would be supplemental to his forthcoming and prolonged recovery.
We would appreciate any donations, and no amount is too small. Your generous contributions will impact Tysaiah's next chapter in life. If you cannot donate financially.-Whisper a prayer for my son, God will be pleased with your act of kindness. I genuinely thank everyone for taking the time to read my story. You can continue to follow our journey as updates will follow.
