A Heart for Paws is an animal welfare advocacy and rescue organization located in General Santos City, Philippines.

Our primary goal is to rescue abused and abandoned stray cats and dogs, rehabilitate them till they're ready for adoption.

We also educate our community responsible pet parenthood.

Currently, we rescued and rehabilitated more than 150 strays and saved them from the streets, 50 of which were already brought to their loving homes.

However, not all is rosy about rescuing strays, as this advocacy entails costly veterinary treatment, most of which are surgical, TVT chemo treatment, and vet clinic confinement. As expected, strays are badly emaciated, sick and broken at the time of rescue.

Presently, our organization owe an staggering 153,000 Philippine peso, equivalent to roughly $3,187.5, of which, the bulk of this amount is due surgical procedures.

This point in time, we can't settle this debt as we only rely on generous donation from good hearted people. Our shelter struggle to feed our strays and meet their needs. But we need to keep our shelter viable, lest, the strays of this city won't have a fighting chance in life, as their short lives would sadly end up on impounding facilities.

We are appealing for your generous help so we can settle this debt with the vets, so our rescues could still avail of much needed veterinary care.
