Help Marvin Get a New Heart and Support His Family
My amazing uncle, Marvin, a 51-year-old father of three—one of whom is just a toddler—needs your help and support now more than ever. Marvin has been a treasured barber in Fort Lauderdale for over 30 years, known for his talent, kindness, and dedication to his community. He’s always been the guy to put others first, but now, he needs our help.
Marvin’s Journey:
After three long months in the hospital waiting for a miracle, on April 3, Marvin received the gift of life—a successful heart transplant. We are overjoyed and beyond grateful to share that he is now in postoperative recovery and in great spirits. God has truly been faithful throughout this entire journey.
While the transplant was a major victory, the road ahead is still long. Marvin faces a critical recovery period that will require intensive medical care, daily medications, and a temporary relocation to stay close to the transplant center for follow-ups.
The financial challenges are far from over. Extended hospitalization, time away from work, and the ongoing costs of care have placed a significant burden on Marvin and his family. As he begins this new chapter of healing, we’re asking for your continued support to help ease the weight.
How You Can Help:
We are raising funds to help cover:
- Living expenses and bills for Marvin and his family during his extended hospital stay and recovery period.
- Medical expenses, including post-transplant care, and medications.
- Support for his children, especially his toddler, during this difficult time.
Every donation, no matter how small, will make a difference in Marvin’s life. Your generosity will allow him to focus on healing and fighting for his future without the added stress of financial strain.
A Little About Marvin:
Marvin is not just a barber—he’s a mentor, a friend, and a cornerstone of the Fort Lauderdale community. For decades, he’s built relationships that go beyond a haircut, offering advice, humor, and compassion to everyone who sits in his chair. Now, it’s our turn to give back to a man who has given so much.
We appreciate your kindness, prayers, and support during this challenging time. If you’re unable to donate, please consider sharing this page to help spread the word. Together, we can help Marvin get through this and back to doing what he loves—being there for his family and community.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts,
Marvin’s Family
