A Heart for Ivan

This is Ivan Sanchez, my brother, the youngest of five . He has been an enthusiastic fly-fisher man all his life, he's an expert at what he does and loves. This is his passion and anyone who knows him can tell you all that comes out of his mouth is fishing and his love for nature and the sport.

In a world full of bad news, pandemic, bad governments, craziness, crime , injustice, hate; in his mind there's a place where you can get away from all of those and that is his fly-fishing in his favorite stream, lake or river and the art of making flies( by hand and hours of patience). "Total Peace " he says.

I give anything in this world for him , he is my flesh and blood.

It all started about 6 weeks ago with a simple bronchitis that turned into pneumonia , his PCP didn't know exactly how he got sick or why? (my brother has always been a healthy guy ) Antibiotics didn't help, staying at home didn't help and in the world of COVID this could have been a sign that he got infected with the virus. Things really got worst on 10/12/2021 he had to go to the ER at Fairfax Hospital , they tested for Covid and it was NEGATIVE, but he was still very ill and he was retaining fluids, still doctor's didn't know what was going on with him . He was admitted to the hospital with an unknown diagnosis, but one thing for sure was his heart, his liver and his lungs were affected badly. He's been in the ICU ever since . No one has figured out what caused the illness, no one know why a perfectly healthy man all of the sudden had a heart failure . Doctor's still don't have a diagnosis but one thing for sure is that he needs a heart a new Heart. A transplant .

"In America, it's easier and cheaper to die than to get cured"

If you don't have insurance they see you and treat you differently this was noticeable the moment the nurses and case workers asked for insurance. He had one, but for PCP visits and annual check ups not for Hospitals or ICU's . They stopped caring and their attention turned into " Let's get him out before he cost more money " . This is the world we turned into. If you have money and can afford insurance you are welcome. It is the reality of America and it saddens me, because he has worked an honest and very rewarding job all his life, he helps the community, he helps small businesses and treats every one of his customers with respect and cares for them and opens a world of love for nature and Fly-fishing to them .

I am turning to everyone that reads this to help me raise money so my brother does not become another unwanted number that runs out without paying his hospital dues.

He still need another $450.000 for a transplant and of course, since he doesn't have insurance that would cover it he has been left to the minimum "stable condition" and try to survive with the medication that cost between 300-400 dollars a month to stay alive.

PLEASE I BEG FOR YOUR KINDNESS AND GENEROSITY TO HELP MY BROTHER PAY HIS MEDICAL BILLS AND RECOVERY MEDICATION.

Este es mi Hermano Ivan Sanchez, como muchos de ustedes lo conocen "Vancho". Su pasion, su anhelo sus ganas de vivir y seguir pescando no han sido suficiente para sobrellevar la carga que su estado de salud lo a obligado a poner un alto en su vida.

El necesita un corazon, un transplante de corazon . Por ahora nos limitamos a pedir ayuda para poder cubrir sus gastos medicos que ya llegaron al monto de $180.000 dolares .

En este pais, Estados Unidos , si usted no tiene el dinero o el seguro para cubrir sus gastos medicos , uno se convierte en un numero mas de "irresponsables" y una carga para la nacion por no pagan sus cuentas . Yo no quiero que mi hermano sea un numero mas.

"Es mas facil y mas barato morirse que curarse" la verdad sea dicha.
