A Heart For Ily

On November 29th, Ileana was rushed to the hospital after suffering heart failure. Her heart is now working at 12% capacity and she has been placed in the heart transplant list. She’s still hospitalized awaiting a match.
As you may know, at the age of three she was diagnosed and overcame cancer. The effects of radiation treatments led to numerous surgeries and health challenges throughout her life, including the loss of her baby. She has faced each health challenge and life obstacle with the positivism and energy that characterizes her.
She put her struggles aside and dedicated her life to shift these negative experiences into the tools she uses to help others overcome similar life obstacles and traumas. As a sexual abuse survivor herself, she is a passionate advocate for victims of sexual abuse, human trafficking and domestic violence. Through her work as a Clinical Sexologist, Sexual Abuse and Human Trafficking Case Manager she has helped countless of individuals overcome these experiences. She also dedicates her time to be a motivational coach and educator, like she always says: “to be able to serve as an example of hope and touch someone’s life encouraging he/she to move away from an abusive relationship is simply priceless.”
No matter the situation, she is always smiling and looking for the positive in everything. But once again, this warrior has been challenged. Although we have no doubt she will come out of this victorious, this is her toughest fight yet. Ily has spent her life helping others, now it’s our time to help her.
The money collected will be used to cover her treatment and care expenses not covered by the insurance.
