A heart for Gary...a precious gift!

It was Sunday, October 14. Gary was up early at his desk working on his Sermon when the phone rang. The voice on the other end said, “Happy Birthday, Mr. Kitchin, this is Yale Medical, we have a heart for you!” What a gift! His 2 year long struggle leading to this day was over. Now, a new challenge began. Later that day, Gary underwent a successful heart transplant surgery. Words can never express the gratefulness Gary and his family feel, to God, and to the unselfish individual and grieving family who made this possible. As they ask for your prayers for Gary’s continued recovery, they also ask that you pray for God’s special comfort and peace for this family whose loss has gifted him with life. As you can imagine, such a medical procedure and its lengthy and involved recovery will take a financial toll on the Kitchins. Medications (for a lifetime), Co-pay’s, multiple trips to Yale weekly for required testing are just some of their responsibility. As you have been blessed would you kindly consider blessing the Kitchins with a financial gift to help at this time?

We want express our deep gratitude to all of the people who have supported our parents and our family through our journey this far already. We have received letters, emails, personal messages, prayers, and support from literally countless numbers of you. While we still believe that God never promises the success or healing of the strong, but the resurrection of the forgiven; we also believe that He hears and considers every petition put before Him. We know that your prayers have carried us this far. We thank you with a depth of gratefulness words can barely express.
We continue to covet your prayers through this process above all other request. As you consider whether you can support this fund raising effort, we petition you to continue to pray for and encourage our parents. We are humbled to have these gracious, servant hearted people as our mom and dad. We are excited to see what God has for them next!
