I'm Bella, and I'm raising funds for my 15 year old cousin Lio. Lio was recently diagnosed with Wolff-Parkinson-White (WPW) syndrome, a heart condition he has had since birth that can cause his heart to beat dangerously fast — sometimes over 230 beats per minute. These episodes aren't just uncomfortable; over time, they can damage his heart and, in some cases, be life-threatening.

He is currently undergoing tests to confirm that he is a good candidate for a corrective procedure. The doctor is optimistic that surgery would be the best long-term solution and it has a high success rate, but the testing process and scheduling are heavily weighing on the family.

Timing is especially critical because Lio's Medicaid coverage ends at the end of the month. His family is working hard to complete as much testing as possible before it expires, but the surgery itself will fall outside of that window.

Lio's parents are doing everything they can, monitoring his episodes, attending appointments, and working tirelessly to support their three children. But the financial strain of medical testing, possible surgery, transportation, and taking time off work is overwhelming.
