In May this year my dad passed away. He was the best man I know and I would give the world for another moment with him. Mum , Lee and myself struggled with the costs of the funeral because for 6 months leading up to his passing we were all taking time out of our jobs and regularly income to take care of him. We didn't ask for a hand out from anyone and we made things work on our own up until now.
My brother used his skills as a welder to make our dad a plaque because we couldn't afford a headstone and my mum could never find him in such a large cemetery. Before the plaque his site looked plain and unloved. Very unlike my father who was well known in Albany for one thing or another , Whether it be his gigantic Grey Gandalf beard , his wealth of tattoos or his larger than life attitude.

This plaque has since been taken from my dads grave for reasons I'm not sure of. We are not angry or seeking revenge but more looking for a deserving headstone that can't simply be taken for my legend of a father.
