Hi, my name is Darryl and I'm fundraising for a headstone to place on my grandparents Amy and George White's grave.

George White passed away on 13th April 1957 aged 81, Amy White passed away on 11th October 1958 aged 68. Sadly for me they both died before I was born.

After my grandfather George was laid to rest, my grandmother was advised that a period of 18 months would have to pass before a headstone could be erected on the grave. Unfortunately, my grandmother Amy passed away just as the time required for the ground to settle had completed. The grave is within North East Surrey Crematorium, Lower Morden Lane, Morden, Surrey, SM4 4NU, UK. Grave number 1476 in Block X5

For reasons unknown to me and my close family, a headstone was never placed on the grave by my father or his siblings, all of whom have since passed away. Currently the grave plot is being walked over as visitors to the cemetery are unaware that there is a grave there.

The estimated cost to take ownership of the grave plot, obtain a permit to erect a headstone, and purchase the headstone itself is approximately £2000. Hence the GoFundMe page.

I have paid the plot transfer of ownership fee of £163, and the Commissioner of Oath's fee to verify my identity of £5 already. This leaves a target of £1832. I will add a contribution of £32 to this page making a contribution so far of £200. I will provide invoices for all payments as and when we hit the target total, unless requested beforehand.

I'm appealing to all living descendants of Amy and George to help me raise the funds to give them a headstone, without them we would not be here. I do realise that not everyone is in a position to help, having said that, any donation large or small will help and be greatly appreciated.
