June 24, 2016, my family and I were on our way to Georgia for our Family Reunion, where we suffered a huge tragedy when a car came from the rear right speeding in our direction. My husband, Isadore (best known as Levi) was driving and to keep us safe, he tried to move out of the driver’s way. Unfortunately, the driver swiped us and he still lost control of the car. The driver never stopped and just continued driving as if nothing happened.
Unfortunately, something did happen and it was life-changing. I lost my mother in the car accident, my middle daughter, Tamara, had five fractures in her spine, my eldest daughter, Danielle, had abrasions and swelling to her face and lost temporary consciousness, but as for me and my youngest, Kynle, we were alright (Thank God). My husband suffered a great deal resulting in him becoming paralyzed from the chest down. His stay at the hospital in Georgia was very touch and go he had underwent a few cervical surgeries in order to keep his spine in alignment.
Due to the loss of my mother, I took in my younger sister, who was living with my mother.
Since the accident, it has been a financial toll on me and my family. We have my husband’s medical bills and at this time we are unable to save for a handicap accessible van.
It has been stressful on all of us, emotionally, financially and physically. I don’t know what to do at this time, I feel as though I have exhausted all options. It doesn’t help that I am unable to go back to work because I have to take care of my husband full time.
I just want the best care for my husband and my family. Anything anyone can donate will be greatly appreciated. Thank you and God Bless.....
