In early August 2025, beloved neighborhood barber Anthony “Tony” King suffered a devastating accident that shattered both of his kneecaps and tore the quadricep muscles in both legs. After two major surgeries, Tony is now back home in good spirits—but faces a long road of recovery that will take 6 to 12 months before he will be back to work.
As many of you know, barbers are independent contractors. No haircuts means no income. And while Tony has health insurance to help cover medical expenses, it doesn’t cover the basic cost of living while he heals.
For more than 30 years, Tony has been more than a barber—he’s been a friend, counselor, confidant, and the guy who could always lift your spirits with a joke while making you look and feel like a million bucks. Now it’s our turn to lift him.
This campaign isn’t about a handout—it’s about a hand up. For the price of a haircut, you can help keep Tony afloat until he’s back in the barbershop, clippers in hand, doing what he loves most: serving his community.
