A Hand Up For Carla, Please

Donation protected
Hey there, My name is Peggy and I have known Carla for many years, and she could really use
some help getting back on her feet. After months of illness and loss of
income, it has left her hopeless and on the verge of homelessness.

The photo above is one of Carla and my mom, Loretta some years ago.
My mom saved Carla’s life, first with her
music and then with her friendship. Carla in returned has devoted so
much of herself in the last few months to perpetuate and preserve
Loretta Lynn's legacy by starting a petition to have a state park in
Eastern Kentucky renamed in honor of their Hometown girl. Carla
embarked on this endeavor because she knew my mom was always so
proud of her coal miner’s daughter roots and her home state of
Kentucky. Carla has written countless emails and letters to have Loretta's
image considered for the American Quarters program. Just to name a few
of the endeavors over the years Carla herself has done to further cement
Loretta's legacy.
If you can find it in your heart to lend a helping hand to help Carla get
back on her feet.

Here is a bit of Carla's Story:
Carla came to Loretta Lynn’s Ranch in Tennessee when she was just 19
years old. Her dream was to meet Loretta and live and work in
Tennessee for a summer while off from Collage. While Carla was working
planting flowers at Loretta's home she met my dad, Mooney who was
coming in from the day of working on the farm. They struck up a
conversation and my dad was so taken with Carla's story he took her to
meet his wife. Carla spent the rest of that summer working along side
Loretta planting flowers and helping Loretta tend her vegetable garden.
Carla became a fixture at the ranch and soon the whole Lynn family
we’re introduced and acquainted with Carla.
Carla went on to finish up her degree and started her own business as a
investigator in which she has worked for several years. She now lives in
Florida with her puppy Oscar. During the last several months Carla
became seriously ill and she lost her ability to work which put her behind
and unable to catchup. She has no medical insurance and is suffering
with a severe respiratory ailment. She now is facing eviction from her
apartment which would leave her homeless and destitute.

Carla is a great fisherman; She is one of the funniest people I know.
She is a loyal friend, the kind of a ride or die kind of person. She was a
good friend to my mom and dad and they adored her. Can you please
spare $10, $20.. whatever you can to help get Carla back on her feet
and healthy again. Thank you, Peggy Lynn
