Dear Community
We are reaching out to share the devastating news that the family of Ms. Camisha Coleman-Killens, a beloved teacher at West County Mandarin School, has lost their home in a tragic fire on Aug 7, 2023.
Although Ms. Killens and her family are physically fine, they have suffered huge financial loss and emotional trauma especially in the younger children.
Ms Killens is a dedicated and nurturing teacher of the WCCUSD community who seeks to help students overcome academic challenges and achieve academic success. Throughout her teaching career and personal life, she constantly gives back to the community, builds strong relationships with families and motivates young learners with one aim - to provide our students with a safe, positive and engaging learning environment. We hope our community can generously donate to this gofundme and help Ms. Killens and her family alleviate some of the financial burden they are facing as they work to find temporary housing, replace essential belongings and begin the process of rebuilding their life.
The funds raised through this GoFundMe campaign will go directly towards helping the family rebuild their life after this traumatic event.
Every contribution, no matter the size, will make a significant difference. Your donation will not only provide practical assistance but also offer emotional support to Ms. Killens and her family during this challenging time.
Your generosity will send a powerful message of solidarity and compassion, reminding them that they are not alone in this journey.
Please share this gofundme with your friends, family, and coworkers to amplify the impact. Together, we can make a meaningful difference and help a great teacher get back on their feet.
Thank you for your kindness and support.
