Hey all!

Our names are Sara (Sabrina) and Nika, and we would like to introduce our friend Diego.

Diego moved to Ireland from Costa Rica 2 years ago. He fell in love with the country immediately and is super happy living here.

Around 2 months ago, Diego applied to college because he wants to build his career as a 3D animation designer while working to pay his rent and bills. He currently works in the maintenance field, but he’s excited to start studying and pursue his passion.

Just a month ago, Diego had an incident and broke his wrist. He rushed to the emergency services, where he received a plaster cast and a wrist splint afterward. Since he works with his hands, he had to take unpaid sick leave until his wrist is fully recovered. Recovering from a wrist fracture can take some time, and Diego still needs to keep paying his bills on top of his medical expenses (the emergency service visit alone cost 100 euros). Unfortunately, the social welfare service won't be able to cover the sick leave.

Diego is one of the most beautiful souls we’ve ever met, and he has no family here to help with this situation. We are asking for your help to make Diego’s life a little easier during these challenging times. Any support is greatly appreciated, even if you can’t donate. Sharing his story goes a long way for us.

Recovering from this injury is super important, not only so Diego can return to work and start college, but also so he can continue drawing and playing music—activities he loves to do in his spare time as an artist.

Nuestros nombres son Sara (Sabrina) y Nika, y nos gustaría presentaros a nuestro amigo Diego.

Diego se mudó a Irlanda desde Costa Rica hace 2 años. Se enamoró del país inmediatamente y está muy feliz viviendo aquí.

Hace aproximadamente 2 meses, Diego solicitó plaza en la universidad porque quiere construir su carrera como animador 3D mientras trabaja para pagar su alquiler y sus facturas. Actualmente trabaja en el sector de mantenimiento, pero está emocionado por empezar a estudiar y seguir su pasión.

Hace solo un mes, Diego tuvo un incidente y se rompió la muñeca. Corrió a los servicios de emergencia, donde le pusieron una escayola y luego una férula en la muñeca. Como trabaja con las manos, tuvo que tomar una baja médica no remunerada hasta que su muñeca se recupere por completo. Recuperarse de una fractura de muñeca puede llevar tiempo, y Diego aún tiene que seguir pagando sus facturas además de sus gastos médicos (la visita a los servicios de emergencia costó 100 euros solo esa noche). Por desgracia, la seguridad social no cubre la baja médica.

Diego es una de las almas más bonitas que hemos conocido, y no tiene familia aquí que lo ayude con esta situación. Pedimos vuestra ayuda para hacer la vida de Diego un poco más fácil durante estos tiempos difíciles. Cualquier apoyo es muy apreciado, incluso si no podéis donar. Compartir su historia también ayudaría muchísimo.

Recuperarse de esta lesión es muy importante, no solo para que Diego pueda volver a trabajar y comenzar la universidad, sino también para que pueda seguir dibujando y tocando música, actividades que ama hacer en su tiempo libre como artista.
