I'm a 77-year-old grandmother. 

My grandson is 29, lives with me, and is on the spectrum.

I was laid off from a job I loved (Business Systems Analyst II) for a local defense company. I was a few weeks shy of getting 15 years of service when they laid me off. I had just purchased a new car.

As it turned out, my grandson was having a very difficult time with his family in Baltimore, and I was able to take him in.

I never thought I would need to appeal for help like this, but things have gotten rough.

I was on a forbearance with my mortgage, but it has expired. I'm working to get some help right now, but I don't have the funds. If I can get 3 house payments (about $4500). I can get  Flex-Mod on my mortgage and I can keep my house.

I'm also behind on my homeowner's dues.

My grandson works part-time.

Within the last year and a half, we lost our oldest cat and had to have her cremated.

Then I started having lower back problems. I had an ablation, and that really helped, but after several months, I had to have a second. So far, I am still in quite a bit of pain. It should resolve itself in another couple of weeks (fingers crossed).

I had a knee replacement last April. I'm going to physical therapy again and hoping for the best.

Last summer, my air conditioner died. Since I had no funds, he accepted a down payment and monthly installments. The install had so many problems. We were pretty much without A/C during the hottest part of the summer. It got up to the 90s. I had no money for a hotel, so we toughed it out. It was horrible.

Shortly after that, we lost one of my younger cats. I'm not sure what happened. He just crashed and had to be put to sleep.

My house is a horror show. I need to replace my kitchen floor, the formal dining room floor, and the master bath floor. My garbage disposal needs to be replaced. My garage light is out, and the keypad doesn't work. I have an enormous tree in front of my house that needs serious trimming.

This isn't even the whole list.

I have been tremendously stressed. I'm on antidepressants.

I need help.
