A Goode Cause :)

Hi everyone! We are Adam and Karuna your friendly neighborhood couple with a few balls in the air 100 percent positive we could never be hurt. Adam is an awesome HVAC resource in town focused on your geothermal needs and making sure boilers keep you warm as well as natural gas transitions. Karuna is obsessed with healing others, Myo fascia release, proper diaphragmatic breath and bringing the Original Hot Yoga practice, at Yellow Bird Yoga Studio to town.

Everything was right on track with our plans for the community until February 16 when Adam had an awful accident that landed him in the ER. Those of you who know Adam know that he of course thought he was fine, just a little scrape and some bruising, back to work as normal in a week or so. Unfortunately, the scrape was more like an impaling from his left bum through his body to the right hip, resulting in 3 chipped vertebrae, a torn rectum, emergency surgery through a C-section to correct all the damage and an ostomy bag new buddy to hang out with him for a year of recovery. The bruising was some intense bone bruising that will heal when it feels like it and the back to work in a week or so will be more like a couple of months or so. His wound care is taken care of by yours truly, and we are fully aware of how lucky he is to not only still be with us but also still be able to walk.

We are listening to the Universe and working on slowing down and taking care of ourselves as we strive to take care of our community. We have been incredibly flattered by the outpour of support, food, laughter, gravity chairs, walkers, groceries, and helpful skills to keep moving forward on the studio and the work we needed to do on our home. We can not thank you enough for your kind words, loving thoughts, prayers, love and light.

This gofundme came about because so many of our Fairbanks community, friends and family told us to please start one because they wanted to help with the medical bills and some of the everyday bills that will add up until we can both work full time again. Thank you for all of your help and support and we look forward to being back to serving our community as small business owners very soon.
