My name is Greg Dove, and I live in a senior community in Lakeland, Florida. There is a 70-year-old gentlemen who has become my friend from waiving as he walked by my house numerous times daily in the hot Florida sun. His name is Ellis. He has no car, and his only mode of transportation is an old bicycle and his God-given two feet!

Over time I have learned that like many of us, Ellis has no income except Social Security. To help make ends meet, he does odd jobs and lawn trimming, garden weeding, etc. in the park. I am trying to raise funds to purchase a used golf cart for Ellis so he won’t have to carry his equipment, especially on hot summer and rainy days to his jobs and home again. Ellis is a wonderful neighbor and helps many people on a tight budget to get work done at a reasonable cost. It is time for us to help him out.
