A Gold star mom, a veteran widow, and animal mom

Hello, my name is Shannon and I'm doing this fundraiser for my mother. In the last 8 months my mother has lost her son and her husband. Her son Christopher was in a tragic Apache helicopter crash while coming back from a training exercise in Fairbanks Alaska. Christopher was only a year and a half away from retirement, which would have been 20 years in the US Army, and he was only 39 years of age. My mother has been struggling so badly with losing her son for the last 8 months, that her and her husband decided to move to Florida to be closer to me, her daughter and her sister to help her through this tragedy. My mother came to Florida to look at a property that they both fell in love with online and she wanted to see it in person. I took her to see it, and it was love at first sight. It was everything that my mother and her husband, Mac wanted. It was enough property for all of their animals, adopted animals, and animals they wanted to give a forever home to, especially saving horses from slaughter.

When my mother got back to SC, her husband Mac got started on getting a loan through the VA to buy their forever home. They were in the tail end of finalizing everything and only had a couple of things to sign to make it final.

Unfortunately, on January 19th 2024, her husband had a massive heart attack and passed away. Due to him passing away before finishing the process to get the house, my mom lost the loan and house. Yet again, another crippling loss.

She only gets disability so she can't afford to move now to be closer to me. Please help my mom in anyway you can and get her back home to her daughter, sister and grandkids. She is completely alone in SC. I'm praying she can get enough money raised to be able to get a small place next to me.
