I am reaching out on behalf of Casey Trahan, a devoted father facing an immense trial as his daughter, Miley Jo Trahan, bravely battles a series of serious health complications.

Personal Background:

Casey, residing in Village Mills, Texas, is striving to be a constant presence by Miley's side during these trying times who is currently hospitialized in ICU at Texas Children's Medical Center in Houston.

Patient Information:

Miley, a vivacious 11-year-old with a birthday just days after Christmas, is an absolute joy. She finds happiness in playing with her sisters, cheering for their athletic events, and exploring nature. Miley is passionate about school, her church family, and has an infectious love for life.

Medical Situation:

Miley's journey began with an initial diagnosis of MMA, an inability to process proteins. Despite her resilience, she contended with portal vein thrombosis, blood clots, damaged pancreas, and other health complexities leading to additional diagnosis of muscular dystrophy and diabetes in 2018. Her recent ICU admission, on Octber 8, due to fluid around her heart has added another layer of uncertainty.

The medical road has been tough and as of now, Miley remains intubated, awaiting further tests to unravel the cause of her condition.

Financial Need & Utilization:

This fund aims to ease the financial burden on Casey, enabling him to be a steadfast support for Miley. Contributions will assist with travel costs, accommodation, meals, and compensating for missed work. The duration of Miley's hospital stay is uncertain, and we hope the doctors at Texas Children's Hospital can provide answers and solutions.
