A Gift For Grayson

Hi My name is Sherri Rachel and I am writing to introduce you to Grayson Thurston, the son of my high school classmate Tina Thurston. Grayson is 6 ½ yoa and is a precious child with the most adorable smile. At approximately 2 yoa, Grayson was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder. With this diagnosis came with many uncertainties and questions for my friend Tina and her husband Mark. Like most families with children with Autism, they began a series of different supplements, therapies and treatments, most of which are not covered by insurance. In addition, Grayson has to be on a Gluten Free, Dairy Free, Soy, Flax, Bean, Pea and Peanut diet. As most of you know, that means her grocery bill is probably double that of the average family just to purchase the necessities.
Tina is a stay at home mom as Grayson requires so many weekly trips to therapists and doctors. Her husband Mark started a new job this past year to help the family financially but the medical bills keep coming in, as so much is not covered by insurance companies. One of the things I am asking my friends and family is to help purchase for Grayson this Rifton Medium Adaptive Tricycle. Without your help, there is no way that this would be possible for sweet little boy. The cost of the tricycle is $2100. Why not a regular tricycle? Grayson does not have the balance of the average 6-year-old even with training wheels. If he loses his balance, he starts to panic. This tricycle helps with his muscle tone and has proven effective during his therapy sessions. The nice thing about this tricycle is that it will adjust and will grow with him.
Tina and Mark are very proud people so this is very difficult for them to accept help from others. Your generosity would not only allow Grayson to get a therapeutic tricycle but would help offset the costs of medical bills and therapies that are either not covered by insurance or are only covered at a small percentage of the medical bill.
I ask you my friends, family, classmates etc. Please donate from your heart. No amount is too little to make a difference in this child’s life. Thank you for your love and support.
