Mahmoud and His Family Lost Everything in Gaza—Will We Leave Them in the Dark?
They Had a Home… Until It Was Gone in an Instant ❣️
Hello, my name is Hanaa Alhalabi, and I live in Norway, but my heart is shattered by what is happening to my family in Gaza.
I am writing to you today because I am desperate, and because I still believe there are people in this world who care, who believe in compassion and humanity.
My cousin, Mahmoud Shagalaih, his wife Rasha, and their two young children, Bushra (5 years old) and Rayan (3 years old), had a simple yet happy life in Gaza. Their home was small, but it was filled with love.
Then, in one horrifying moment, everything disappeared.
Bombs do not distinguish between walls and dreams. Their house was destroyed, reduced to rubble in an instant. Mahmoud ran barefoot through the wreckage, carrying his daughter, as his wife screamed, trying to shield Rayan.
Now, they are refugees in Turkey, with no home, no income, and no sense of security.
Every night, the children ask heartbreaking questions:
❓ “Baba, when will we go home?”
❓ “Why don’t we have a bed to sleep in?”
❓ “Where did our cats go?”
And Mahmoud has no answers—only silent tears.
Mahmoud Was Not Just a Father—He Was a Savior for the Voiceless
Before the war, Mahmoud was the heart of the Palestine Streets Angels (PSA), a shelter he built for Gaza’s forgotten souls—stray cats with nowhere else to go.
He rescued them, fed them, and gave them the love they never knew.
But war shows no mercy. The shelter was destroyed, just like his home.
The cats he once saved are now alone, starving, and afraid.
Mahmoud saved them before—now, he is the one who needs saving.
How Can You Help?
Every dollar can be the difference between hope and despair, hunger and survival.
$10 = A meal for a hungry child or a rescued cat.
$50 = Medical care for an injured cat or trauma therapy for Rayan, who has barely spoken since the horrors he witnessed.
$100 = A step toward rebuilding a home for Mahmoud’s family or a shelter for the abandoned animals.
Your donation is not just money—it’s a lifeline.
It’s warmth for a child shivering at night.
It’s food for an animal left behind.
It’s a message that says:
“Mahmoud, your family is not alone. There are people who care.”

Don’t Let Them Face This Alone
They have lost everything, but they have not lost hope—and YOU can be the reason it stays alive.
If you cannot donate, please share this story. The person who can help may only be one share away.
Thank you to everyone who reads, shares, and donates. Even the smallest act of kindness can bring light to Gaza’s forgotten corners. ❤️
