Hi to all! My name is Khalia Lewter, and I’m raising funds to help cover graduate school tuition as I pursue a Master’s in Photography at Savannah College of Art and Design or in Photojournalism at George Washington University (I'll be making a decision around May 1st). These programs would allow me to continue developing my work as a visual storyteller focused on culture, community, and meaningful social narratives.

Photography to me is more than a hobby or a career goal, it’s how I listen, learn, and connect with people. I’m deeply passionate about documenting real moments and using imagery to spark empathy, preserve stories, and encourage cultural understanding. Graduate school would give me the mentorship and creative space to refine my voice and expand the impact of my work.

Like many students pursuing advanced degrees, especially in the arts, it's been rather difficult locating scholarship and grant opportunities. Despite working, saving, and actively seeking outside support, there remains a financial gap that makes attending graduate school a challenge for me.

This GoFundMe is meant to help bridge that gap and bring me closer to continuing my education. Any contribution will go directly toward tuition and academic expenses. Anything helps, even sharing, and thank you in advance for your support in my journey.
