My name is Shahd, and I am from Gaza.

I am writing this with a heavy heart after losing almost everything : our home, our safety, and the people I love.

During the ongoing war, my family and I lost our house completely. We were forced to flee with nothing and are now living in a tent by the sea, exposed to the cold, the wind, and the harsh conditions of displacement. Every day is a struggle for survival.

Tragically, I also lost my older brother, along with many relatives and friends. The grief is overwhelming, and the pain of losing the people closest to me is something I carry every moment. My family is broken, and we are trying to hold on to each other with whatever strength we have left.

On top of this, we are struggling to secure the most basic necessities—food, clean water, and daily needs. Sometimes we go days without proper meals. With no stable shelter and no income, we depend entirely on help that often doesn’t reach us.

I am also a university student trying to continue my education despite the destruction around me. I am fighting hard not to lose my future, but the financial burden is too heavy on my displaced family. Your support can help me continue studying and keep my hope alive.
