A Future for Sydney: Kidney Transplant Fundraiser

We come to you with heavy hearts yet a hopeful spirit as we seek your support for our beloved Sydney. Recently, she learned that she needs a kidney transplant—an essential step in her journey toward better health.

To provide some background, during her pregnancy with her beautiful daughter, Olive, Sydney was diagnosed with a rare liver disease called Alpha-1 Antitrypsin Deficiency. This condition affects the liver's ability to produce a protein that protects both the lungs and liver, leading to severe health complications over time, including impact on her kidneys. Despite her incredible strength and resilience, Sydney now faces the added challenge of needing a kidney transplant to preserve her health and ensure a brighter future for her family.

We are reaching out not only to share her story but to ask for your support in covering the medical expenses associated with her transplant and related care. While she does have health insurance, it often doesn’t cover everything we wish it would. The funds will also be used to help with daily expenses she may have as she is unable to work during this time. Every donation, no matter the size, will make a significant impact and will help us navigate this difficult time.

Currently, Danielle, her older sister, is in the final steps of verifying that she is a viable donor for Sydney. We are hopeful this will be a successful match and the surgery will be done at UNMC in Omaha.
