My name is Hamada Meqdad, and I’m creating this fundraiser for my young nephews — children who have lost both of their parents in the ongoing war in Gaza.

I never imagined I would have to write something like this. But the situation has become so devastating that I have no other choice.

A few of you already know that my sister was martyred during the recent attacks. She left behind her husband and children. As things worsened, her husband and much of his family were also targeted and killed. Two of the children were injured in the attack and are now left behind, traumatized and alone in a place that offers them no safety, no future, and no support.

These children are my family. They are the last pieces of my sister I have left. I’ve started this fundraiser to help give them a chance at life, safety, and stability. The funds will go directly toward their medical treatment, basic needs like food and clothing, future education, and most importantly — to help build a new beginning for them away from fear.
