" A future compromised by war: let's raise $600 to help Michaella Byani continue her studies in Goma despite the armed conflicts in eastern Democratic Republic of Congo."

Michaella Byani is 17 years old. She lives in Goma, in the eastern Democratic Republic of Congo, a region deeply affected by insecurity since the M23 took control of the city in late 2024. Despite this, she remains determined to continue her education. She is training to be a seamstress and stands out for her diligence, creativity, and attention to detail. Her ambition is simple: to become a professional seamstress and lift her family out of poverty.

Her mother is raising her four children alone. Until recently, she supported her family by traveling to rural areas around Goma to buy agricultural products, which she then resold in the city. But these areas are now inaccessible due to insecurity. Her business has come to a standstill. The family's income has collapsed.

Today, she can no longer pay Michaella's school fees or the materials she needs for her sewing workshops. The risk is clear: if Michaella drops out of school now, she may not be able to resume her studies. An entire year of training would be lost, with all the consequences that this implies for her future.

The need is concrete and limited: $600

This amount will allow Michaella to pay the rest of her tuition fees and buy the fabrics, supplies, and tools she needs for her training.

Helping Michaella means supporting a talented young woman who, despite the context of armed conflict, is fighting to obtain a concrete and immediately useful qualification.
Your support, even if modest, can have a direct and lasting impact.

Use of funds:

- Remaining tuition fees: $300
- Sewing supplies (fabric, thread, tools, accessories): $160
- Participation in practical workshops and administrative fees: $60
- School transportation and unexpected training-related expenses: $40
- Transfer or transaction fees (depending on the bank) and commissions (optional): $40 (estimate)
- Total: $600

Every dollar will enable Michaella to complete her year of training without interruption.

The $600 scholarship awarded to Michaella will allow her to continue her practical training in a context where war has robbed her of any future. This is a concrete and tangible opportunity that will immediately change her life. Thank you to everyone who is making this possible.
