A FUNERAL FOR SAMI ❤
Donation protected
"It’s with the heaviest broken heart I write this in disbelief & shock that the light, sunshine & gift of our lives Sam has departed this earth to continue on his journey". (written by Sam's mother, Loui)
Above, is a sentence that no parent should ever have to write.
On Sunday 11th December, Sam King (known lovingly as Sami) died suddenly and tragically in a car accident in Darwin.
Sam (19 years old) is one of 8 kids in the family. He was a son to Brett (father) and Loui (mother), and a brother to Jess, Hannah, Tayla, Jorgia (sisters), Tom, Jake and Josh (brothers).
I would describe this large family as loving, close-knit, affectionate and caring. Sam was known and loved for his kindred spirit, infectious positive energy and his caring and kind soul.
Usually, this time of the year (Christmas), is a time that sparks joyous and memorable moments with our loved ones. However, for some, it can be a reminder of who isn't around celebrating.
Instead of planning all the exciting things that Christmas brings to many people, this family is planning the send-off that Sami deserves.
With Sami's sudden passing, it brings many challenges for the family. Sami needed to be transported back to his hometown, the Mornington Peninsula, which is a very costly process. On top of this, the family are busy organising his funeral and wake whilst still looking after themselves, their siblings and their grandchildren.
Today, we are asking our friends, family and wider community to come together and help this family!
With the family's blessing, I have made this fundraiser on their behalf.
Your donation will ease the stress and financial strain that comes with death and I hope these funds raised will give Brett and Loui (father and mother) and all their kids (Jess, Hannah, Tayla, Jorgia, Tom, Jake and Josh) some breathing space and financial peace of mind, allowing them to grieve without the added financial stress as they navigate their way through funeral costs, the emotional trauma and prepare for their future without Sami.
Any donation, big and small is appreciated.
Sami's larger-than-life, positive attitude will continue to live on throughout the family.
Thank you for your support in their time of need
